What is a dental bridge?
If you are missing some teeth but your remaining teeth are healthy, you can use the healthy teeth to support a replacement tooth.

What types of dental bridge do you offer?
At Vitruvian Dental Studio we offer a range of different designs.
Conventional bridges involve removing the slight outer layer of the supporting teeth in order to place a crown over the top, attached to this crown is the replacement tooth. This has the benefit of being extremely sturdy.
We also offer resin-bonded bridges, which involve no damage to the supporting teeth. A thin wing is wrapped around the supporting tooth to which a fake tooth is attached.

How do I care for my bridge?
Almost identically to your natural teeth. Dependent on the design we may recommend a special type of floss to floss underneath the bridge.

What is the process?
It is vital to check the health of the supporting teeth before considering a bridge. We need to check the teeth are strong and not likely to break and they have plenty of bone support. We can do this at a consultation where we will take X-rays and complete a thorough assessment, we will create your treatment plan on the same day.

What is a dental implant?
A tooth is divided into two parts. The root of the tooth (the bit of the tooth in your jaw bone) and the crown of the tooth (the bit of your tooth you see in your mouth). A dental implant is a replacement tooth root, onto which we can place either a single crown or a bridge (multiple teeth stuck together).
